🧠 Big Brain Breakdown

To commemorate the kickoff of Week 1 at Forma City’s Solana Economic Zone in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we thought it was only right to double click on Solana’s developing AI ecosystem.

This time, we did some extra digging and found some projects that have yet to come into the fold, which of course, is why you are subscribed to Onchain Outpost.

If you missed part 1, be sure to check it out, as that’s where we covered the larger and more prominent AI players within the Solana ecosystem.

Also, luckily for you, our team of analysts has started to build a database with every single AI project in existence, which you will be able to access (more info on how to access it at the bottom). 👀

Arcium

Arcium made its debut back in May of this year with the announcement of its $5.5 million strategic fundraising round to build “the first parallelized confidential computing network”

Let’s break that down.

Parallelized: The ability of the system to execute multiple encrypted computations simultaneously, rather than sequentially, which enables higher throughput and efficiency in processing confidential data.

Confidential computing: The process of performing computations on encrypted data without revealing the underlying information, allowing for secure and private data processing while maintaining data confidentiality.

Now, combining those two concepts, we arrive at a high-performance, privacy-preserving computational network that can efficiently process multiple encrypted operations simultaneously, which has a myriad of use cases across decentralized finance, real-world asset tokenization, artificial intelligence, compliance systems, healthcare and various other blockchain verticals requiring scalable and secure data processing.

Arcium leverages Solana as its foundational infrastructure, allowing it to integrate its confidential computing capabilities with other protocols within the ecosystem. By utilizing Solana programs, Arcium manages crucial operations including computation scheduling, rewards distribution, token staking, and network orchestration.

DAIN

DAIN, which stands for Decentralised Autonomous Infrastructure Network, is another interesting AI project that is building in stealth on Solana. In very simplistic terms, DAIN seeks to create a "smart internet" where natural language becomes the universal interface for digital interactions, eliminating the need for complex coding languages and protocols.

Developers currently face significant challenges in integrating various services and APIs, often spending excessive time and resources searching for useful services and learning how to implement them. Each new integration requires learning unique protocols, sometimes demanding specialized skills, extensive development time, or even certifications.

By transforming existing digital services into intelligent, composable AI agents that understand natural language requests, the aim is to streamline development processes, and also make advanced AI capabilities more accessible to both businesses and individual users.

DAIN also claims to be working towards a future where AI agents can autonomously provide services, conduct transactions, and even participate in marketplaces. This relates to the concept of Autonomous Economic Value Creation, which is something we have covered in the past and are quite bullish on as a concept.

Wayfinder

Wayfinder is one of the AI projects we are most excited to see launch. For those of you who aren’t already up to speed, we have already written a few pieces about it and believe it could be something that we would use ourselves (which is rare for us to say).

To debrief, Wayfinder is a protocol designed to enable autonomous AI agents (called "shells") to navigate and interact across multiple ecosystems from Ethereum, to Base, Cosmos, and of course, Solana.

The project aims to essentially establish the rails for these agents to securely control crypto wallets, execute transactions, to identify optimized "wayfinding paths" - validated routes that allow AI agents to efficiently traverse the multi-chain environment and interact with smart contracts. These paths collectively form a comprehensive graph of blockchain ecosystems, functioning as a map for AI agents.

Wayfinder's focus on Solana is a strategic move that capitalizes on the ecosystem's remarkable growth over the past year. Solana's surge in transaction volume, user activity, and developer engagement makes it an ideal platform for Wayfinder's AI agents to unlock a lot of value for its users.
