Who’s going to Token2049?

I (Paddy) will be in Singapore next week for Token2049 hanging around Twenty Eight Cafe at certain times during the week (apparently the coffee and food is good!).

If you’re keen to meet in person and have a chat, throw a time into my calendar here. Coffee is on me!

Also, for those attending the conference, Brody has combed through the million side events and all pulled all of the Luma links for DeAI and DePIN events worth attending. See the list here.

Lumerin Deep Dive

This week, we're taking a deep dive into Lumerin, a project that started as a solution to address the growing centralization of Bitcoin mining hashpower but has found PMF in a wide range of other applications such as AI computing.

We were lucky enough to chat with Ryan Condron, the Founder of Lumerin, on an X space just yesterday, which gave us a bunch of unique insights for this research spotlight. Let’s dive in 👇

What is Lumerin?

At its core, Lumerin is a decentralized routing protocol for managing data streams via smart contracts. This was initially developed for routing Bitcoin hashpower but has proven to be remarkably adaptable for matching AI models with the necessary computing resource, as well as other potential use cases.

As AI usage soars, Lumerin has recognized the striking parallels between Bitcoin mining and AI computing. Both involve intensive computational processes, require specialized hardware, consume significant energy, and can benefit from distributed architectures. This realization has led Lumerin to start exploring applications in DeAI, which we’ll explore more below.
